Privacy Policy

Diamond Dating is committed to providing the safest, most rewarding internet-based dating agency, within a trusted environment. Privacy and safety issues are as important to us as they are to you, and to that end we're pleased to offer our Privacy Policy Statement.

Diamond Dating Privacy Policy.
Diamond Dating's policy is to respect and protect the privacy of our members. This policy statement tells you how we collect information from you and how we use it. Where applicable, we shall also offer links to other sites which offer 'further reading', explaining certain practices in detail.

Information we collect.
The heart of a dating agency is a collection of data about an individual, so that other members can decide if they want to contact. We of course collect and store all the information that you give us when joining. We do not collect or store any other information other than what you give us.

Information we display.
In order to enable members to search for and evaluate prospective partners, we have to display information such as personality traits and physical attributes. However, personal information such as date of birth, email address, and postal address are NEVER revealed to other members.

Shared information.
We will NOT sell, rent, give away or otherwise disclose any information to anybody else. We regard member's privacy with the highest respect, and do not believe information sharing is ethical or desirable.

About your ability to change or delete stored information.
You are able to view and change any information stored in relation to your account by using the Members Change Form. Any changes are instantaneous and take immediate affect. You are also able to delete your entire account, which will remove ALL information automatically. Deletion is also instantaneous and will take immediate affect. We do not store any old information, once it has been changed or deleted - it's gone.

Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
This site is exclusively for the use of adults aged 18 or over, therefore we do not collect or store information relating to children.

Security.
All information is encrypted and stored in an area which is not directly connected to the internet, and is therefore not directly accessible. Our servers are installed with instant intrusion alarms, and are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our servers are powered by uninterruptible power supplies, in a room with climate control, and have fire suppression systems fitted.

Cookies.
Cookies are probably the most misunderstood security issue. A cookie from this site CANNOT be viewed by any other site or by any other person. (For more information on cookies see our cookie explanation page). For your own benefit and for enhanced usability, this site does use cookies for the following purpose:
  • We use a cookie to 'remember' things for when you next log in. Stored in the cookie is your member number, and your password. No personal information is stored in the cookie. You have the option of not receiving the cookie by way of a 'checkbox' on the login page. If you do not take the cookie, you will have to retype your login details every time you log in.
  • We also use a 'session cookie' on this site. A session cookie is similar to a regular cookie, but it is automatically removed when you leave the site. We use it to carry your login status from page to page. There is no personal information stored in this cookie.

IP Address tracking.
We do not routinely track or store IP addresses. In the event of misuse of this site or an attempt to bypass security measures, the offender's IP address is recorded. We do this to maintain security for the benefit of sensible users.

Anonymity.
You have the right to remain anonymous at all times. You can communicate with other members through our Private Messaging Service without revealing your email address. We will not disclose your email address to anybody, but you yourself may give it to anybody at your discretion.

Spam.
Unsolicited email for the purpose of advertising (commonly known as Spam) is as annoying to us as it is to you. To protect you from unsolicited mail, we do not disclose your email address to anybody. We may from time to time wish to convey announcements to you, but we will do so by posting a message into your Diamond Dating Message Inbox. We will only ever send you mail if we consider it to be of importance regarding your use of this service.

Changes to this privacy policy.
Diamond Dating does not intend to loosen this policy in any way. However, we may in the future wish to amend the wording of this policy. If and when any changes are made to this policy, you will be notified by way of posting a message into your Diamond Dating Private Message Inbox, together with an explanation of what has changed and what those changes mean.
